We hold Modified Pilates classes 5 times per week at Ambulant Physiotherapy.

Monday at 6:00pm and 7:15pm, Wednesday at 6:00pm and 7:15pm and Thursday at 6:00pm

Modified Pilates is a mind body conditioning exercise programme that targets the deep postural muscles of the abdomen and spine to improve overall core stability and posture. The class is ideal for anyone suffering from back pain, poor posture, sports injuries, arthritis and stress related injuries. However, it is available to anybody.

Modified Pilates is a very gentle exercise class with lots of controlled movements, and is largely based on floor work.

We hold Functional Pilates classes once a week at Ambulant Physiotherapy.

                                                          Thursday at 7:15pm

Functional Pilates is an extension of Modified Pilates. It is still based on the principles of Pilates, however it incorporates additional movements that originate from tai chi and martial arts. The class uses gym balls and therabands as a way of improving strength, toning and balance; however it is still very gentle with many controlled movements.
